For a millennium, the space for the hotel room existed undefined. Mankind
captured it, gave it shape and passed through. And sometimes in passing through, they found
themselves brushing up against the secret names of truth.
"Hotel Room" was a short film consisting of three individual episodes produced for HBO. The show takes place in room 603, spaning 57 years. The people staying in the room change, but the hotel employees never do, nor do they age.
"Hotel Room" was available on video as a Japanese laserdisc.Two episodes
of the show were written by Barry Gifford ("Wild At Heart", "
Lost Highway"). A book of teleplays
for the series has recently been released (ISBN 0-87805-776-5).
